Purpose
こんにちは!This blog is to help me become more proficient at Japanese while giving Japanese speakers a window into Seattle, one of America’s most fascinating cities. I often regale visitors to Seattle with quirky, borderline insane tales of its founding, how it became the largest city in the Northwest, information about day-to-day life, and descriptions of each neighborhood’s personalities and quirks. I am active in the Seattle music scene, volunteer in a number of organizations, and work at the headquarters for one of Seattle’s signature companies…a company that Japan has come to embrace enthusiastically (can you guess which one?).
Unfortunately, I’m not very good at Japanese yet - I can only read and write hiragana and katakana, and my vocabulary is pretty limited. I still get tripped up with grammer structure, correct particles, and verb conjugations. Therefore, I’ll happily and wholeheartedly welcome corrections to my Japanese - I’ll take all the help I can get! For all those willing to lend me a hand, どうもありがとございます!じゃあ、ね。。。
By the way, I love getting emails - drop me a line!
